Celec and Cenace sign agreement to strengthen the Ecuadorian power sector
On Friday, September 21, 2018, the Electricity Corporation of Ecuador (CELEC EP) and the National Electricity Operator (CENACE) signed a framework agreement for inter-institutional cooperation. The objective is to strengthen the national electricity sector, promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences, said Engineer Gonzalo Uquillas Vallejo, General Manager of CELEC EP.
Based on this agreement, which will last for five years, the two institutions will implement actions to coordinate, encourage, formulate and develop joint activities, which will be aimed at the continuous improvement of the technical operation processes of the National Interconnected System (SNI) and the commercial management of energy block transactions.
