Xcel Energy restoring power from Sunday storms
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (XCEL ENERGY) — Xcel Energy says crews have made significant progress Sunday restoring power to nearly 9,800 customers who were impacted by severe weather that moved through Wisconsin.
About 3,500 customers, primarily in the Rice Lake and Hayward areas, remain without power Sunday night.
Xcel says evere thunderstorms caused extensive damage to the region’s power grid. The heavy rain and high winds knocked down trees and damaged power lines.
