Lake Tahoe weather: Update on mass power outages across region
Placer County has cancelled Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transit services for the third consecutive day. The service may resume tomorrow, depending on conditions.
The Truckee Donner Public Utility District has issued a statement on the power outages. The statement says “All Customers Currently Out of Power,” and directs customers who see a downed line to call the TDPUD immediately at 530-587-3896.
According to TDPUD, “Once the main system power is restored, there will still be isolated outages due mostly to falling trees on TDPUD’s distribution system and on secondary power lines feeding individual homes.”
