Invenergy confirms 225-MW PPA with Google
January 28 (SeeNews) – US firm Invenergy Wind LLC yesterday confirmed a 225-MW power purchase agreement with Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG), under which it will supply about 965 GWh annually to the internet giant.
The deal was first announced in early December, when Google said it has struck 842 MW of renewable energy PPAs in the USA, Chile and Sweden to power its data centres.
The Invenergy PPA, the biggest of the six agreements, is for power from the Bethel Wind Energy Facility in Texas. The electricity produced at the site will be delivered into the Southwest Power Pool (SPP).
