ERCOT issues notice for tropical storm, does not foresee power transmission issues
The Electricity Reliability Council of Texas has issued an Operating Condition Notice due to Tropical Storm Bill, which made landfall on the South Texas coast around noon Tuesday.
ERCOT issued the notice about 9:30 pm CDT Monday after the storm strengthened into tropical storm.
“ERCOT currently does not anticipate transmission system issues associated with the storm, although transmission and distribution service providers may face localized distribution-level impacts,” ERCOT spokeswoman Robbie Searcy said.
