Texas Power Falls to Lowest in Two Weeks as Wind Rises
(Bloomberg) — On-peak power fell in Texas to the lowest level in two weeks as wind output exceeded expectations.
Wind production on the Electric Reliability Council of Texas Inc. network averaged 8,263 megawatts during the hour ended at 1 p.m. local time, above the day-ahead forecast of 7,100 megawatts, according to the grid’s website. Wind accounts for about 13 percent of Ercot capacity.
