SunEdison seals its biggest PV deal in Texas
unEdison will build and finance new PV plants in West Texas to supply the City of Georgetown with 150MW of electricity, enough to make the municipal utility one of the largest in the US to be powered 100% by renewable energy.
The deal is the largest on a utility scale for SunEdison in Texas. It also is one of the largest solar transactions in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), which manages the flow of wholesale power to about 85% of the state’s electric load.
