Industry study ranks Texas 10th in solar capacity
HOUSTON — Texas is the 10th-ranked state for U.S. solar capacity, according to a study published Thursday by the Solar Energy Industries Association, a trade group.
The state added 129 megawatts of solar energy capacity last year, bringing its total to 330 megawatts, the association said.
The state’s biggest solar gains came from new utility-scale installations, as opposed to commercial and residential installations. The solar projects added last year totaled $252 million.
