Former Dallas mayor, U.S. ambassador pushes nuclear power in Texas

Former Dallas Mayor Ron Kirk, who also served as the U.S. trade representative under President Barack Obama, is making the case that Texas and other states need more nuclear power in order to offer a diverse energy mix.

Kirk’s newest position is co-chairman of the Clean and Safe Energy Coalition, or CASEnergy, which is the public relations and education arm of the nuclear power industry.
