Coolwater Lugo Transmission Project on hold
A major Southern California Edison infrastructure project in the design phase with the California Public Utilities Commission has been put on hold, officials say.
The Coolwater-Lugo Transmission Project that would carry electricity from the Yermo area through Lucerne Valley to the existing Lugo Substation in south Hesperia is being reassessed but not terminated.
“On March 17, 2015, the California Independent System Operator filed comments with the California Public Utilities Commission stating its recent reassessment study indicates that sufficient capacity is now available for the Mojave Solar Project to become fully deliverable without the need for Southern California Edison’s proposed Coolwater-Lugo Transmission Project,” SCE officials said in a statement.
