Will closure of Billings energy plant increase the cost of electricity?
BILLINGS – It’s lights out for a major Billings power plant and the closure now raises concerns in the community about higher electric bills.
But as PPL Montana’s Corette plant powers down, it may not cause the financial burden Yellowstone County residents fear.
The PPL J.E. Corette plant can not pinch enough pennies to meet new Environmental Protection Agency pollution control regulations.
