Alexander: US could lose nuclear power
WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander warned Thursday the United States could end up without nuclear power unless steps are taken to encourage nuclear energy.
“A United States without nuclear power – or with very little nuclear power – is a very real possibility,” the Maryville Republican said. “It’s a possibility we should not want, if we want a strong country and a strong economy.”
