Albany dealt in for new five-city energy competition
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday morning that Albany will be eligible to compete with four other major New York cities for up to $20 million in funding for advanced energy projects.
Cuomo wants the New York Power Authority Board of Trustees to approve $20 million for the competition at their February meeting as part of the Five Cities Energy Plans, according to a release. Albany would compete with Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Yonkers for the cash.
